Everything the V15 does, plus wet mopping. One device, two jobs.
The V15s Submarine is identical to the V15 Detect Plus in every way โ same laser, same suction, same particle counter โ with one addition: a wet mopping head called the "Submarine."
The idea is simple: vacuum your hard floors, then swap to the mop head and clean up spills, stains, and stuck-on grime without reaching for a separate mop. One device, two jobs.
The honest truth: The wet mop is legitimately useful โ it's like a better, faster Swiffer. But at $849 (vs $650-750 for the V15 on sale), you're paying a $100-200 premium for a feature you might only use once a month. Read on to see if it's worth it for you.
You swap out the regular vacuum head for the Submarine attachment, fill a small water tank, and run it across your hard floors. It spins at high speed to scrub the floor while picking up water and debris.
The good: It genuinely works. Mopping becomes fast and easy. Way better than a traditional mop and bucket.
The annoying: Cleaning and reassembling the mop head is a bit of a pain. You need to rinse it out, let it dry, and put it back together. It's not hard, but it's friction that might make you reach for the mop less often.
Here's the thing: the V15 Detect Plus is almost always on sale for $650-750. The V15s Submarine rarely drops below $849. So you're really looking at a $100-200 price difference for the mop feature.
That's meaningful money. Ask yourself: will you actually use the mop enough to justify it?
I own the Submarine head. I use it about once a month โ when the kitchen floor has sticky spots or after a party. It's nice to have. But if I'm being honest, I could live without it.
If the V15s were the same price as the V15 (or close to it), I'd say get it. But at a $150+ premium? I'd skip it and put that money toward something else.
Buy the V15s Submarine if: You have all hard floors (no carpet), you hate mopping, you want to consolidate devices, or you frequently deal with sticky messes.
Skip it if: You have mostly carpet, you already have a mop you're fine with, or you'd rather save $150+ and get the V15 Detect on sale.
